Participating in the competition will give them skill building opportunities as they communicate their leading-edge research to a non-specialist audience. The challenge … they will have only three minutes and a single slide to do so.

Academic Integrity Day

Who determines authorship and authorship order on a publication? What are the rules about data collection and analysis? When is it okay to omit some data results from an analysis? This workshop invites you to examine these issues of academic integrity at McGill and in the broader context. Faculty and students are encouraged to attend. 



Student Emails: A Creative Video Guide to Email Etiquette

While many students have mastered the art of email, others tend to take “poetic license” – unclear subject lines, omitted course name or student ID, or even an occasional use of an emoticon! Suggest students hone their email communication skills by watching a short instructional video produced by Teaching and Learning Services. Share the link with students through myCourses!

myCourses Tip: Testing out your quiz before releasing it to students

Did you know that you can test your quiz before releasing it to students? Use the “Preview” option to answer quiz questions, save responses, submit the quiz, view the submission page and view report results.

Course Evaluation Results for Fall 2017

Course Evaluation results for the Fall semester are available in Mercury after grades are submitted and processed. Guidelines for Interpretation are available, including a comments analysis sheet and sample tables for reporting results.
