Our Faculty realizes its innovative approach to teaching and serving the community through a wide range of initiatives as part of its Outreach Program. The mobile clinic is one of them. Through the use of mobile dental equipment, it goes directly into community centers and provides free high quality dental care to families in poverty, the elderly, recent immigrants, refugees and people with disabilities. Over the last four years, the mobile clinic has provided treatments to members of the Montreal community with a value of more than 370 000$.

This month, join us for an insightful discussion with the leaders of this impressive initiative, Dr. Li and Dr. Dobby, as we speak about community, giving back and dentistry beyond the four walls of a conventional private practice.

It is my great pleasure to announce the launch of the new website of the Division of Biomedical Sciences.

The purpose of the site is to feature our research groups, graduate student and staff activities as well as achievements across three major research axes within the Division that include i) mineralized tissue and extracellular matrix biology, ii) biomaterials, nanobiotechnology and tissue engineering, and iii) pain and the neurosciences.  All researchers have been invited to expand their site to include their graduate student profiles and other relevant activities. The site also aims to inform and attract prospective summer students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to the Division and to the Faculty.

Many thanks to our fantastic web manager, Jim Morris, for working with me to create and assemble the site!
