Persian Book Club

The Laudate Singers choir combines technical artistry with the ability to make all kinds of choral music accessible, luminous and transcendent. Bring the whole family to this all-ages Christmas concert. Come early for best seating!



Jazz Talks with Neil Ritchie

A vocal journey through spirituals, blues, R&B, soul and funk with long-time CBC producer Neil Ritchie. Supported by a generous bequest from the estate of Robert Leslie Welsh, through the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation.

Join us in celebrating the International Hour of Code by learning how to draw with code! We'll learn some basic Python coding skills to make art using computers and math.

WordPress expert Zoe Alexander will demonstrate the many features of this popular web publishing platform. From design to add-ons, find out how you can leverage the flexibility of WordPress!

Getting Started with Library Digital Magazines and Newspapers

Learn how to use digital magazines and newspapers from the Library. Please bring your library card with you to the session. Prerequisites: familiarity with the Internet, and an email address. Register online.


iPad Learn and Loan

Thursday, December 22, 2 – 4 p.m.

Take this two-hour introductory session and then borrow one of our iPads for two weeks to practise what you've learned. This class is open to patrons who have a valid West Van Library card and who do not own their own device. Please visit or call the Community Computing Centre at 604.925.7405 to register.

Children experience the joy of making music through song, games, dance and instruments in 20-minute sessions.

Parent Child Mother Goose

Wednesdays, January 4 – March 8, Storyhouse
TODDLERS: 9:15 a.m. | INFANTS: 10:30 a.m. 


This program is a group experience for parents and their children that focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together. 

Registration is online through Family Services of the North Shore and begins Tuesday, December 6 at 9 a.m.


Gleneagles Pop-Up Library – Happy Holidays | All Ages

Bring the whole family for some fun before the holidays with our WVML librarians! We’ve got something for everyone. Little ones can participate in a storytime at 10:30, older kids can read our favourite holiday tales, and people of all ages can do crafts, play games or download ebooks.
