Mayrs Brothers Exhibition

Through to January 9

 

This exhibition brings together graphic design work and limited edition art books by Bill, Frank, David and Charles Mayrs, and highlights their unique and long-standing presence in the history of Canadian art. 

 

A principle exhibition will be shown concurrently at the West Vancouver Museum (November 7 – December 16), featuring paintings and drawings also produced by the Mayrs brothers.

Getting Ready to Read: Fostering Literacy Skills in Young Children

Tuesday, December 5, 6:30 – 7:45 p.m., Storyhouse

 

In this dynamic workshop for parents and educators, Shannon Ozirny, the Head of the Youth Department at the West Vancouver Memorial Library, will review the importance of early literacy development in young children. Parents and caregivers will learn how to promote the development of literacy skills through talking, singing, reading and playing. Shannon will share the best and brightest new picture storybooks available.

 

Offered in partnership with the West Vancouver Child and Family Hub. Register through the West Vancouver Community Centre.
