Marketing and Branding Tips for Small and Home-based Businesses

The West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and the West Vancouver Memorial Library invite you to a business breakfast, with guest speaker Cyri Jones.


Jones has over 20 years of business experience specializing in marketing, information technology, entrepreneurship and project management. He is the Founder of ZEN Portfolio Networks Inc., a social learning network for teachers and students. Cyri is also a faculty member at Capilano University in the School of Business.

Friday Night Concert – Jim Byrnes

Three-time Juno winner Jim Byrnes is a modern blues master who has been performing for over four decades. Born in blues country — St. Louis, Missouri — Jim has lived in Vancouver since the 70s and has become one of our most beloved local legends. Jim will perform from his vast repertoire, backed by a stellar band.


Doors open at 7 p.m., come earl for best seating! Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.



Music Talk with Neil Ritchie - Leonard Cohen

In this session, Neil mixes it up with an exploration of Leonard Cohen - the late Montreal poet whose greatest successes came late in life when he began his international music career.

Forever Young — How Health Practices Can Have a Positive Effect on Aging

Aging is an inevitable part of living: from greying hair to wrinkling skin. But aging doesn’t have to be an uncontrolled descent into frailty and oblivion. This session will explore some of the changes that can happen in your bones, muscles, heart, digestive system and brain as you age. It will also address strategies and behaviours that you can employ to promote good health at any age. 


Presenter: Dr. Jerome Genz, B.Sc. (Kinesiology), DC (Chiropractic).


This talk is part of the Capilano Universe Lecture Series by Capilano University.

Parent Child Mother Goose

This program is a group experience for parents and their children that focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together. 

Registration is online through Family Services of the North Shore.


Storyhouse Family Drop-In

Monday, January 16, 23, 30, 12:45 – 2:15 p.m., Storyhouse


Families with children aged six and under are invited to come and celebrate learning in a fun, relaxed environment led by a certified Early Childhood Educator. A snack for children will be provided. 


This is a drop-in program and space is limited. Caregivers are required to stay with their children throughout the program.

Pro-D Day Raspberry Pi Free Play

Have fun and practise your computational thinking skills with the Raspberry Pi, a credit card-sized computer. Are you new to the Raspberry Pi Our librarians will help get you started. Are you a Raspberry Pi expert? Work on your own project or try some of our super challenges!
