Harvest season is here and we've cultivated a smorgasbord of events and programs to fill your appetite for entertainment this fall. From marvellous music to month-long health programming, October is the perfect time to connect with your library and discover all the exciting things we have going on!

Persian Book Club
Thursday, October 16, 2 p.m., Elizabeth Musto Room

Read and discuss classical and contemporary Persian literary prose. Participants must be fluent in Persian. Led by Feloor Talebi.

Friday Night Concert – Flamenco Rosario
Friday, October 17, 7:30 p.m., Main Hall

Known for spirited, fiery, creative and original performances and collaborations. The company continues to honour both the rich flamenco tradition and to produce presentations which stretch the boundaries and evolution of the art form.

Jazz Talks with Neil Ritchie

Play the Pi-ano! Introduction to Computer Programming | 9 – 13Y
Monday, October 27, 3:30 p.m., Computer Training Room

Learn to think like a computer and use it as an instrument! In this introductory class, kids will learn how programming language differs from everyday language using the Raspberry Pi, a credit card sized computer. A registration lottery runs October 1 – 15.
