1. On November 3rd and 4th, the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership's Northern Committee meeting was held in Sudbury.

2. On November 6th, Sudbury Tourism welcomed back to Sudbury, the Amazing Race Canada 2015 runners-up, Nick and Matt and Brent and Sean.  The racers graciously agreed to both participate in a community Meet & Greet on November 7th and a wrestling match fundraiser at LoEllen Secondary School on November 8th.

3.  Sudbury Tourism is still running a contest on social media to "WIN your own customized AMAZING RACE CANADA Sudbury experience!"  The contest is being promoted online and will run until November 30th at which time the winner will be announced and will start planning their prize trip for 2016.

4. The Sudbury Tourism and Cultural Forums took place on November 12th. Over 80 people participated in the full day’s events. The morning Tourism Forum hosted 40 participants where updates on the current strategies launched in 2015 were presented and

5. Staff attended the 2015 Tourism Industry Association of Ontario Conference in Toronto from November 8th-10th and the 2015 Northern Ontario Tourism Summit in Sault Ste. Marier from November 16th to 19th.

Naturallia 2015

Business-to-business matchmaking forum Naturallia 2015 was successfully hosted in Sudbury November 11th-13th at the Holiday Inn. Hosting partners included RDEE Ontario, College Boreal, the City of Greater Sudbury, the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT), the Centre of Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI), the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association (SAMSSA), and FedNor.

Group Tour

 
Staff attended the Ontario Motorcoach Association Conference in London November 15th-18th. Sudbury tourism participated in 28 one-on-one appointments with tour operators and tourism industry suppliers from across North America.

Arts & Cultural Scene

1. The second annual Cultural Forum was held the afternoon of November 12th, drawing nearly 60 attendees. The forum included a keynote presentation on public art, updates on the Cultural Plan goals and results and an open discussion on upcoming priorities.
