Course Preparation and Design: Teaching Checklist and Course Outline Guide

What are the required and recommended elements of a course outline? The Teaching Checklist and Course Outline brief guide will help you prepare a useful document for both you and your students.

Encourage student participation in Course Evaluations

There are many actions that you can take to encourage students to complete their Course Evaluations:
  • Post announcements on myCourses with the current response rate.
  • Give students time at the beginning or middle of class to complete their evaluations.
Students may complete their Course Evaluations until December 24 (or December 8 for units following the condensed period).

Ten Strategies for Leading Effective Discussions

Read this week's SKILLSETS bulletin to find out about workshops and resources available to your graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Encourage them to attend sessions and learn skills that can be applied immediately and are transferable to future endeavours.
